Saying Goodbye, One Last Time by INSPUMP

"Saying Goodbye, One Last Time" is an outdoor immersive theater experience that incorporates AR technology. On a stormy evening, various animal groups receive mysterious invitations and embark on a journey through time and space. Guided by a messenger, they brave the rain and journey to an artificial forest to bid farewell to those animals who left without a word. Three groups of spectators will gather at different locations in Shanghai's Xintiandi to witness live performances by actors. They will then be led into a carefully designed artificial forest installation. Through AR glasses, the forms of the animals are presented as particle-like illusions, allowing the audience to witness this unique and moving farewell ceremony in a fantastical world where reality and virtuality intertwine. This work aims to provide a formal farewell to the animals that quietly disappeared from this world, evoking deep remembrance and reflection on these departed lives. "Serial Port Project 2.0" is a continuation of "Serial Port Project 1.0," further pushing the boundaries of technology and art to new heights. It is not only a theatrical performance but also an exchange and collision of emotions and thoughts.
