2025 Theme: Craft Kaleidoscope
China boasts the world’s largest pool of artisanal resources, and at the heart of craftsmanship lies its people. Starting with ceramics, Jingdezhen is now attracting outstanding creators and brands from various fields of craftsmanship. From ceramics and metalwork to textiles and lacquer art, countless skilled hands are redefining Jingdezhen, transforming it from the "Porcelain Capital" into a burgeoning hub for young artisans in China.
"MADE IN JDZ" is inspired by the concept of "Jingdezhen (JDZ)," where "J" stands for "Junction," "D" for "Diverse," and "Z" for "Zone." It symbolizes the convergence of diverse crafts and the dreams of countless artisans. This concept represents a standard and attitude toward craftsmanship—interpreting traditional techniques in modern living scenarios, giving crafts a place in life, and infusing life with vitality.
We interpret the core concept of "MADE IN JDZ" through the use of a kaleidoscope—"The beauty of craftsmanship comes from both following tradition and breaking boundaries. It is an ongoing process of fragmentation and reorganization, a continuous growth process. By splitting and reassembling craftsmanship fragments, we exist between the 'old' and the 'new.' The transformation of craftsmanship is a perpetual, never-ending journey."
