Design Shenzhen Joins Design Shanghai and Design China Beijing to Create Asia's Largest Network of Annual Design Events

Building on the reputation and energy of Design Shanghai, with its unique market leading position and track record of presenting international design of the highest quality, Design Shanghai proudly presents a new type of regional design event for China – Design Shenzhen.  Design Shenzhen will take place on December 9-12 at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center and  join Design Shanghai (June 2021) and Design China Beijing (September 2021) to create Asia’s largest network of annual design shows, expecting more than 600 exhibiting brands and a combined audience of nearly 140,000 visitors across the three cities in 2021.

Shenzhen, once a fishing town in South China’s Guangdong province, is one of China’s best- known economic miracles of the past 40 years. Today, its gross domestic product ranks third among Chinese mainland cities, after Beijing and Shanghai. Shenzhen also enjoys one of the biggest Architecture & Design, Cultural and Creative communities in China. Design Shenzhen will bring new perspectives to design in China, creating a focal point for brands and designers within China’s most successful and fast expanding commercial and geographic region. Held within a specially designed show environment created by leading architects and designers, Design Shenzhen will be an attraction in itself – and digitally enabled.
