Cathy Wang is the founder / Principal of Montaigne Design Company. She is Canadian-Chinese and a highl experienced Interior Designer with qualifications from the International Academy of Design in Toronto. Cathy has 20 years of international experience working on hospitality projects in both North America and China. In 2010, she developed a very successful young company within the corporate structure of the international respected Hirsch Bender & Associates Design Consultants (HBA), now Cathy is fully committed to her new venture. She is also a multi-lingual, skilled communicator and highly respected figure in the design community. Cathy has in-depth knowledge of project deliverables, ‘market drivers’ and an acute awareness of cross-cultural work ethics. With well-developed concept design skills, Cathy’s passion lies at the front end of the design process and the finishing stage of soft decoration where she creatively influences project outcomes. In her position as Principal, she is responsible for marketing, all business transactions, as well as leading the design work in-process. She insists integrating local culture into her projects and inspires her team to create exciting and innovative designs.
