A self-proclaimed 'Design Guardian,' Charu ensures that complex projects are executed with precision and integrity, guiding interdisciplinary teams through the intricate transi-tion from conceptual vision to built reality. Charu’s portfolio features some of Singapore’s most celebrated architectural achievements, in-cluding Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort and Jewel Changi Airport—both recipients of Singa-pore’s prestigious President’s Design Award. Her extensive work also includes Altair Towers, a 69-story residential tower in Colombo, Sri Lanka; Boulevard 88 | EDITION Singapore, two luxurious residential towers set above the acclaimed boutique hotel on Singapore’s famed Orchard Road; and the flagship headquarters campus of Surbana Jurong, the first headquarters to be sited within a rainforest. Currently, Kokate is part of the leadership team overseeing the Marina Bay Sands ex-pansion, poised to once again redefine Singapore’s skyline. Charu serves as a distinguished ambassador for Safdie Architects’ humanist design philosophy, representing the firm at influential global forums such as TEDx, the World Architecture Festival, and the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA).
