Mr. Liu Hung-Chih is the Senior Vice President of AECOM Asia Pacific, the Leader for Strategy & Development and Cities Market Sector in Greater China. He has been leading teams to provide professional integrated service including strategic planning, design, construction, investment, and operation and maintenance to clients.
Mr. Liu graduated from Harvard University with a master’s degree of Architecture in Urban Design. After graduation, he served as senior urban designer in HOK, Senior Associate of ROMA Design Group, and Urban Design Project Director of Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP in San Francisco. He is an active member of several domestic and international urban planning and design organizations, including Board Advisor for the Shanghai 2040 Vision Plan, Board Member and Senior Advisor to the Chongming World-class Eco-island construction committee; Member of the International Advisory Board for a National Urban Design Innovation Center in Beijing; Deputy Chief Planner for the new sub-center of Beijing. He also provides strategic advisory with Alibaba City Brain and offers expertise for the "Global Top 100 Resilience Cities" project supported by the Rockefeller Foundation. In 2019, he was appointed as the Guest Professor of Architecture of National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. Mr. Liu has accumulated extensive international experience in the field of urban design. He is a dedicated professional in the field of design and reformation of the public realm and known for his innovative and practical multi-disciplinary approach when identifying key issues on building resilient and intelligent urban space and formulating effective solutions that are both creative and practical to urbanization issues.
