Junjie Li
Instigator / Chief Curator, Green Connections; Founder / Creative Director, Circular China
Junjie Li is an award-winning designer, entrepreneur, educator, and curator. He graduated from UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design with a Master of Architecture degree. With his long-term passion for positive impact design, he instigated Green Connections, the first non-profit thought leadership and catalyst for sustainable design innovation in China. Junjie teaches sustainable environmental design & social innovation in Tongji University’s School of Design and Innovation. He is also the founder of Circular China R&D consultancy, and a sought-after expert in whole-system interdisciplinary design thinking. His career of near 20 years spans architecture, urban design, interiors, social design, product development and experiential art, and he received “China’s top 10 most innovative designers” award in 2018. Prior to his return to China and founding Circular China, he worked as a design director in Rockwell Group in New York, led design and innovation projects for Google, Microsoft, MGM. Starwood, Peet's Coffee, and Disney, among others.
