Louise Yeung graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, in 2005.After her studies, she worked at Hamiltons Architects in London and completed a number of high-end residential developments in the UK. During her professional career, she developed a keen interest in urban redevelopment and achieved a Masters in Urban Regeneration from the Bartlett School of Planning, UCL, in 2011.She joined Foster + Partners in 2010 to work on a number of mixed-use and residential projects in Europe and Asia. She was initially involved in the Hermitage Plaza development in La Défense, Paris. The project incorporates two 323-metre-tall mixed-use towers which will establish a distinctive symbol for the new urban destination on the Paris skyline. She went on to work on a competition for the new French Ministry of Defence in Balard, Paris, which was shortlisted in January 2009.She was then involved in several projects in China, including the Suning Nanjing Plaza in Nanjing. The scheme included an iconic 388-metre-tall mixed-use tower with a 5-star hotel, serviced apartments, and a retail mall podium. Her role focused on the planning and coordination of hotel and retail functions. She also participated in the Crland Xiao Jing Wan Masterplan development in China, where she was involved in the design development of a mixed-use masterplan with retail, private residential units, and the China Resources University campus towards construction stage.Continuing her work in China, Louise was the lead designer for a mixed-use development in Dachong, Shenzhen, which is Nanshan Technology Finance City project, delivering four towers, with the highest reaching 300 metres. She was a project architect for the RIBA-awarded Crland Xiao Jing Wan development, where she was involved in the design of a mixed-use development consisting of a hotel, clubhouse, retail, and residential components in the region, also including a 55,000 square-metre university campus for China Resources Group.Most recently, Louise was the design lead for the competition-won Guangming Transportation Hub, a new Transport Oriented Development situated on the high-speed rail link that connects Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. She is also the lead designer for Gemdale Xinsha, a mixed-use development in Shenzhen, currently onsite.She was made Partner in 2019.
